Aside from the obvious fact that you will get an amazing dinner out of it, there are loads of reasons why going on an evening cookery course could be your best move yet. If you spend your days deliberating over what to have for dinner, this could be the course for you. Don’t believe us? Have a read of this and get inspired!

1. Learning from the pros

When you sign up to an evening course, the chances are you will be learning from an expert in the industry. Getting a real sense of what it’s like to work in the kitchen, you will be taught by someone who is passionate about the food you are making.

2. It’s really sociable

Without a doubt, our favourite part of going on an evening course is meeting new people. Expect a classroom of people from all walks of life, bonded over one common interest. If you are too shy to go alone, grab some friends and make an evening out of it. Let’s face it; it’s far more exciting than an evening sat in the pub.

3. You can’t get the same experience from TV or books

No textbook can compare to the live tuition before you. Yes, you can learn how to cook a new dish on YouTube, but without the fresh ingredients in front of you and the chance to ask for help when things go wrong, it really doesn’t compare.

4. They buy all the ingredients for you

Forget that last minute dash around Tesco, in most courses you will be provided will all of the ingredients. The best thing about an evening cookery course – you finish work, learn something new and get a stress free meal out of it!

5. It gives you the opportunity to go back to school

An evening course gives you the opportunity to do all those things you didn’t do in food technology at school, i.e. listen and pay attention. Now we’ve all grown up a bit, throwing flour over each other is less of a priority and mastering a recipe is. The best part? You won’t have to carry your cooking round in your school bag all day.

Ready to search for your perfect evening course and get going? We’ve got it covered. Don’t forget to let us know how you get on and invite us round for dinner at the weekend to put your new skills into practice!
