What will I learn?

We match any other online provider's price.

The AAT Foundation Award in Accounting Software is a bite-sized qualification which will give you essential practical skills in using accounting software.

It has no entry requirements, and is designed to give you real-world knowledge that you can put to use from day one. It's also a stepping stone to the full AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting, the first step to a successful career in accounting and finance.

The course is accredited by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), the UK’s largest professional body for accounting technicians, so it’s internationally recognised and sought-after by employers.

It's highly flexible, so you can set your own timetable and study at your own pace. Live online classrooms during lunchtimes, evenings, and weekends make it easy to fit learning around your life.

As part of the AAT Foundation Award in Accounting Software, you'll learn the following skills:

  • Set up accounting software
  • Process sales and purchases transactions
  • Process bank and cash transactions
  • Perform period end routine tasks
  • Produce reports

The course has a Total Qualification Time (TQT) value of 60 hours. The TQT is a measure of how long it will take to complete a qualification and includes the Guided Learning Hours as well as any unsupervised learning and time spent on independent research.

The AAT Foundation Award in Accounting Software is worth 6 UCAS points.

It sits on the Qualifications and Credit Framework at Level 2, or Level 5 in the Scottish system.
